Textured was founded by owner, CEO, and buyer Courtney Vandendaele in December 2019. Courtney graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor's Degree in Textile and Apparel Management and quickly went on to retail management after graduating. When her children were born, she left retail to be a stay at home mom, where she quickly discovered her love and talent for interior design. After being home with her kids for 8 years, she went on to pursue a career in real estate, only to realize that real estate was not allowing her to use her creativity as much as she would like. She then opened a small shop near Kansas City, Missouri, where her family resides, and Textured Haus was born.
